The Centre for Clinical Haematology provides treatment for haematology patients from across Birmingham, including Lindsay's. We all work really hard but chemotherapy is boring and time-consuming. We would like to raise money for some things to help take our patients' minds off the treatment a bit - a portable TV and maybe some iPads to pass the time.

Anne-Marie and I started running together during lockdown, and she has generously agreed to run with me (even though she is fit and I am not).  And my lovely husband, a UHB cardiologist, has agreed to do the race to raise money for us as well - he knows how hard I find running!

UHB charities will match any donations with £2 for every £1 I raise, which will keep me going on the lonely miles! I don't suppose it will be easy....but I ask patients every day to do things which are much harder, and if they can be brave, so can we.
