This Fall I will be a Jesuit Volunteer (JV) at Pio Decimo Center Early Child and Youth Programs in Tucson, AZ. I am excited to work alongside youth in this community and support early childhood education, school age after school programs, and summer programing while learning about and engaging with systemic social justice issues affecting families in Southern Arizona. Living and serving as a JV is an opportunity to devote myself to meaningful engagement with the world and live simply in solidarity with the populations I work alongside. This experience will be a building block in discerning my future plans in healthcare to support youth and families in marginalized populations.
