As some of you may know, after having our beautiful daughter Eva, I was poorly with severe anxiety. On a daily basis, I found myself caught up in what felt like an endless cloud of worry. However, after being told about Acacia by a friend and plucking up the courage to attend my first appointment with them, I felt the cloud slowly starting to break. My journey towards beating my anxiety issues has been a challenging one, but I can finally say I’ve done it! But I honestly believe that I’d still be under the shadow of that cloud, unable to see a way forward, if it hadn’t been for the unwavering support I received from Acacia. They accompanied me on my journey and provided compassionate support and encouragement every step of the way. Don’t get me wrong, I still have my moments; what new Mum doesn’t? However, when those moments arrive I use the advice and coping strategies that the wonderful Acacia team have taught me, to ride any waves of doubt and worry that attempt to push me backwards.
