PLEASE DONATE. I can't imagine what it is like to hear the word cancer come out of a doctor's mouth. I can't envisage the dread on the faces of loved ones when the word cancer comes out of a family member's mouth. Nor have I experienced the potent feeling of sadness at a funeral looking at the coffin of a loved one who has died from it. This is because in 1990 my Grandfather Leo was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, and in May of that same year my father had to stand at his coffin at my age mourning his father. My grandfather was courageous. He never cried, he never felt sorry for himself and it is his energy I try to replicate.  I never met the man who taught kids with special needs, I never met the man who raised a disabled daughter, and never met the man who sacrificed so much to give his children the life they deserve. The saddest part of this all is this is not an uncommon story. It is a sad tale that most of you reading this can relate to in some shape or form. 

On April 15th (Saturday) I will be fighting cancer in the boxing ring at the @hilton hotel in reading. I will be dropping weight (69kg-62kg) so I will be lightweight/light welterweight. This will take the exact same skills I apply in my job discipline, motivation, and relentlessness. I am sure I will learn a great deal along the way. 

Putting all ego and vanity aside it doesn't really matter if I win. The only thing that matters is together with my network of amazing professionals and ambitious students we raise as much as possible for @cancer Research Uk. So sons and daughters don't have to lose fathers. So brothers don't have to lose sisters. So wives don't have to lose husbands, So parents don't have to lose children.
