Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.
I lost count of the number times my Dad ran the GNR. He loved loved loved running. Even as a pensioner at 60 (we used to joke) he could still beat me with ease!! So for Dad we are going to complete the GNR and raise awareness and support for this important charity.
At the age of 60, Dad was diagnosed with early on set dementia, later determined to be Lewy Body Dementia. A few years later Dad was further diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. As all those suffering from these diseases do, he showed nothing but tremendous strength and bravity throughout. He took part in numerous medical trials, even donating his brain to Alzheimer's Research with the view of wanting to try anything he could to help those who will sadly follow in his path.
CJ stole the heart of every carer who looked after him, a true gent and ladies man they would call him! Earlier this year in January at the age of 67, my Dad passed away.
At Dad's funeral, his loving friends, family and colleagues raised over £1000. Amazing! This money was donated to Alzheimer's Research and so now we want to do the same for Parkinson's Research also close to our hearts.
Please donate anything you wish or even just spare us a good luck- we are going to need it!! Here comes Lisa, Haji and Fi pounding through streets near you.....
