Story
Eye to Eye raises funds for pioneering research into eye disorders such as Keratoconus, an eye disease that our son Harry (age 16) was diagnosed with in 2019. Harry had the Corneal Collagen Crosslinking procedure in his right eye in February last year and is still recovering. This procedure prevents any further deterioration in sight caused by Keratoconus disease and strengthens the cornea however, it does not normally improve the sight. Keratoconus is present in his left eye and is currently being monitored.
I am taking part in the Eye to Eye 2020 walk with my husband Darren and son Harry on Sunday 8th March 2020 walking from Moorfields Eye Hospital, City Road, London to the London Eye, a route approx. 14 miles long. We hope to raise as much of our £500 target as possible to help Moorfields Eye Charity fund research into Keratoconus in the hope that in the future a procedure may be discovered that will IMPROVE lost sight as well as halt deterioration caused by this disease.
Any donation, however small, is very much appreciated.
Thank you
