We are raising as much money as possible to help send children in poverty on holiday · 1 September 2017

Our charity runs 7 programmes that supports disadvantaged children in our community. We provide essential items, access to enriching and fulfilling activities, short breaks and holidays. We invest in young people, inspiring their dreams, unlocking potential and creating lasting memories.

Story

Leicester is known for being a young city, 27% of the population are between the ages of 0 and 19, but one in three live within the official definition of child poverty.

Businesses are playing a key role in tackling the problem and Bobby Dhanjal Wealth Management is one of these. In 2012, company director and founder Bobby Dhanjal started up the Bobby Dhanjal Foundation for Children, under the Community Foundation umbrella. Bobby, who grew up in Leicester, was eager to give something back to his city and invest in its future.

The Bobby Dhanjal Foundation is made up of funds from personal donations and staff fundraising activity and has been set up to support disadvantaged city children between 5 and 12 years old. By setting up the fund with the Leicestershire & Rutland Community Foundation, The Bobby Dhanjal Foundation is also benefiting from the government’s match of £1 for every £2 donated for long term support.
