I am travelling to The Village of Hope in Delhi in February to work with people suffering from leprosy. These people have specific foot problems due to the disease which can cause wounds and lead to amputation. They benefit from specialist podiatry care and the provision of insoles and footwear to help wounds to heal. A number of podiatrists have visited the village over the last few years to help in the bandaging unit, treating patients with leprosy and providing learning and development for the volunteers who also work there. Money raised from this page will provide tricycles for people living in the village which helps them to remain mobile whilst offloading pressure on their foot wounds.
