Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2007 Stephen's
Son/Lisa's nephew was born with Cystic Fibrosis. He was diagnosed when he was a
few days old.
Cystic Fibrosis is a life shortening disease, it’s an inherited disease caused by a faulty gene. This gene controls the movement of salt and water in and out of your cells, so the lungs and digestive system become clogged with mucus, making it hard to breathe and digest food.
Each year we do a fund raising event to raise money for CF to plough into research and the development of drugs - this is really important only a few years ago life expectancy of a CF sufferer was 30 years, now it’s already way beyond that so the money you sponsor really makes a difference.
So far we’ve taken 3 generations to the top of Snowdon (Will near to the top in one of the pics), Stephen has canoed the entire length of the Thames from source to finish, Lisa has climbed Kilimanjaro and Stephen and Lisa both completed a 100k through the night cycle ride. The triathlon is the next one and no doubt by the end of the year an epic lake swim and a half marathon will also be completed.
Anything you can sponsor is much appreciated… however small it might be.
