As most of you are aware, my lovely fiancé and step dad to Megan and Lucie - Neil Cornwall - passed away on 27th March 2014 at the tender age of 30 due to a sudden and complicated case of streptococcus intermedius. 

It has been an incredibly hard loss for all of Neil's friends, family and colleagues at The Farm Group/BBC.

Neil was a much loved man with a positive outlook on life and sense of humour which will stay with us throughout this difficult journey ahead without him by our sides.

I am doing the Manchester Colour Run on Saturday 5th July with friends and thought it would be a good opportunity to raise money for a noble charity. 

I know that fundraising is everywhere of late but for the price of a pint, your donation really will make a difference to these amazing families.
