On the 16 August we are travelling to Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.  It has been an ambition of mine for a long time.  But it would mean even more to me if I was able to help others in need by doing it.  It is going to be a massive challenge with altitude sickness being a major factor in people not reaching the 5895m (19,340 feet) summit.

 

Our trip is completely self-funded.  If you decide to donate all of your donation will go to the charity

 

Almost two years ago we lost one of our dearest friends, he was the best man at our wedding and one of the most genuine people you could ever hope to meet.  He died from a brain tumour leaving behind his new wife (2 days after their first wedding anniversary) who was pregnant with their daughter Heather.  We still miss him every day and wanted to do something to help other people with this awful illness.

 

 

As many of you know. Animal welfare means a lot to us. So, we would also like to raise funds for a small charity in the north east called Pawz for Thought.  We have adopted several animals from them. We would like to do what we can to help them rehome and in many cases nurse back to health unwanted animals.
