Power Up For Parkinsons · 27 February 2021

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It’s time to Power Up for Parkinson’s!

I've been inspired to do some virtual fundraising  by Thomas,  17 years old who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 2 years ago.
He says: “I find it hard to socialise in real life, but the gaming community gives me the opportunity and confidence to overcome this. I got my first console aged 10 and haven't stopped gaming since. It helps me relax and escape from the Parkinson's symptoms I experience every day”.

On Saturday 27 February, I will be doing a 12 hour non-stop gaming marathon which will finish with me hosting a tournament with 50+ players from across the World to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK.

I am being joined by one of my good friends Jo Day-Hallcro's son  Hakon age 7, his friend Toby age 8, Billy 7, Riley age 9  & a colleagues son Jack age 13 who are all getting sponsors and playing their favourite games with their friends.  Amazing!!!

If you’re a gamer, why not get involved and join us and make YOUR next game count by supporting Parkinson's UK? If you aren't, you can still help by donating any spare pennies you have to help people like Thomas

Last year, life as we know it came to a standstill. But Parkinson’s doesn’t stop. We want to be there for people affected by Parkinson’s. But we can’t do it without your help.

Thank you for donating
