Story
For as long as I can remember I have struggled with mental health issues. This has affected many different aspects of my life over the years, including (but not limited to) work, relationships and my studying.
Over the past few years I have struggled more than ever before, so this is a charity that is extremely close to my heart. I feel it is extremely important for every single person who is/has dealt with mental health problems to know: YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
I have also experienced first hand the loss of people in my life due to deteriorating mental health. I am dedicating this time and effort as a salute to those who unfortunately did not receive the help that they so dearly needed.
I have decided to push myself WAY out of my comfort zone and sign up for this event to not only do something positive for myself, but to show my infinite support to others in similar situations. I will be training 6 days a week for the next 2 months in order to prepare myself for this, so I'd love to drum up a bit of awareness for my chosen charity and hopefully provide some much needed support for those who need it the most.
