Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I would not be here today to take on this insane challenge for a second time if it were not for Alder Hey. They saved my life on Christmas Day when I was 2 years old and minutes away from death due to a severe asthma attack. My parents got me to Alder Hey just in time. We were lucky to have such a wonderful hospital on our door step. I'm sure most kids in Liverpool have attended Alder Hey for various reasons at some point in their childhood and most people know what incredible work they do for kids from all over the country. Over the last year they like many other hospitals have faced and responded to the challenges presented by this horrible Covid-19 pandemic and have even taken in adult Covid patients to care for in addition to the every day medical needs of their young and vulnerable patients.
I first completed this challenge in 2019 and I was terrified doing it but I am so glad I did. It was such a great experience and wow, what a view. I know what is involved now and I am excited to be doing this again to raise money for a charity close to my heart. What an exciting celebration to the (hopefully) end of lockdown and also shielding which I have been doing for most of the past year.
Last time I raised £385 so it would be amazing to raise the same or more this time.
If you could spare some change to sponsor me, all donations of any value will be thoroughly appreciated.
