Message from Lisa: I'm training for a the Milton Keynes half marathon on 8th March. Last year I ran in the Silverstone half marathon and at the last minute did it for charity. Weeks before my big run my good friend Ilona told me the devastating news that her mother-in-law was dying of cancer.  I knew then that I had to do something to help.

Sadly MooMoo (Maureen) passed away just days after I completed the race but not before she knew just how much money had been raised.  This year, MooMoo's truly amazing family have decided to do something positive in memory of her and as fate would have it there is a running festival in Milton Keynes on 8th March (the anniversary of her passing away).

So, when asked if I was up for it, I didn't hesitate! And I roped Keith in too! We will do whatever we can to help CLIC Sargent.

This is another massive challenge for me.  I trained hard last year, but did not put my running trainers on again (apart from to jump in the car to pop to the local shop) until 5th January! All that hard work last year has been undone so I'm starting all over again, but this time I want to be quicker!   Keith on the other hand runs throughout the year getting up at the crack of dawn to run the streets. However since the Silverstone half last year he hasn't done many long runs and so jumped (well not quite) at the chance to run another half, this time for charity.

Please, please help us beat this awful disease.

Love Lisa and Keith x
