Footsteps to fundraise for active footcare.

Queensferry Crossing Experience 2017 · 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2017 ·
I coordinate the 'Caring Soles' personal footcare service for the Eric Liddell Centre in Edinburgh. It provides people with support to maintain healthy feet that encourages active living and reduces social isolation.
The 'Caring Soles' footcare service launched in January 2017 and has over 100 service users (and increasing) who are between the ages of 49 – 97.
'Caring Soles' is delivered by trained volunteers of the Eric Liddell Centre. The centre has many services that thrive due to the involvement of volunteers, including carer befriending, dementia daycare, community cafe and the footcare service. These are of great importance in improving social inclusion and wellbeing engagement on a local level.
The money raised here will help us at the Eric Liddell Centre to do the supportive and inspiring work that helps make an enriching experience for many.
This walk for me is also celebrating the first 7 months of the footcare service and I've seen amazing improvements to individuals wellbeing thanks to the great volunteers who deliver the 'Caring Soles' personal footcare service and I’m happy to be able to walk the crossing to fundraise and highlight the wonderful things that happen in the Edinburgh community with the Eric Liddell Centre.
Thank you for your support.
