Story

21/4/17

Well here we are with two days to go and I'm packing for London knowing I couldn't have done anything more to prepare myself for the challenge ahead... months and miles of training, 8st 9lb lighter and a resting heart rate of 52 - who knew!!

Very sadly we'll set off to the city tomorrow without chief fundraiser extraordinaire Amy who's currently an inpatient at Cheltenham General Hospital doing her very best to prove a point about my previous "however hard it is for me, I know it's harder for Amy" comment!!

I therefore will follow the mantra of my dear friend and her wise words "just go out and do it" and indeed I shall, because she can't, and I know she'd like nothing more than to be there too...

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I wanted to set myself a real challenge and here we are... I'm aiming high for my #lessfatmorefit plan and will be taking part in the 2017 London Marathon.  For the next ten months I'll be doing everything I can to ensure I'm fit enough to run/walk/stagger/crawl/roll across the finish line!

Sue Ryder is a wonderful charity and Leckhampton Court Hospice in Cheltenham relies on donations to continue its invaluable work. It is important to me both personally and professionally and your kind donations can provide the following:

£5 could provide a memory box for a bereaved child.

£16 could pay for one hour of care to support people to live the fullest life possible.

£20 could pay for the Sue Ryder online community to be run for an hour providing information and support.

£35 provides one massage session, helping patients feel calm and looked after.

£50 could pay for an advice session for families; the Sue Ryder team offer advice on everything from financial worries to future care.

£100 could pay for a hospice nurse for a day.

£500 could pay for a hospice bed for a day.

£1000 could pay for a syringe driver to give constant relief for patients.

My training curve is going to be a steep one but #teamincredible and #London2017 here I come..🏃🏻
