When looking back on the people who have influenced your
life who do you think of? Who inspired you? who was your role model? There are many in mine but the one that comes to mind for so many reasons is without question my adorable Nana, Jean Vivian.

As a child Nana spoiled me with love and attention, as a
teen she fulfilled my lust for makeup & jewels, as a young adult she taught me the art of sale shopping and as an adult I’ve learned just how lucky I’ve been to have such a wonderful Nana while growing up.

Nana now has Alzheimer’s and lives in a nursing home.  She can’t remember many of the lovely things we’ve done together.  She is very slowly losing all the wonderful memories she’s spent a life time creating.

So I’ve chosen to accept this challenge not only for my Nana,
but for all the people all over the world and their families who are dealing with the cruelty of this disease.  I hope that the money raised from my trek to China and the story behind it will inspire others to challenge themselves.  I hope that the money raised will find a cure
and I hope that we are able to grow old, like Nana, knowing that the memories we make WILL last a lifetime.

I have chosen to self fund the cost of this trip so any additional donations and sponsorship will go directly to the charity to sopport their lifesaving work.
