Story

Our team of 10 close friends, Dan, Brendan, Olly, Mark, Ady, Simon, Melvyn, Ian, Matt and Jason,  have decided to take on the Macmillan Norfolk Mighty Hike Challenge, to walk a Marathon Distance from Cromer to Wells Next Sea, in May 2022.

The Charity is vitally important for those suffering with Cancer, and the support that the Charity and their amazing Staff and Nurses provide to those individuals and their families. Without this vital resource, that we are all lucky to have, would make the battle all that more difficult, as none of us know if and when we may need their support.

Cancer has touched many of us in our lives, but no more so than two of our team mates in recent months. Dan tragically lost his wife Lisa, to Bowel and Liver Cancer on the 19th December 2021. Brendan sadly lost his Mum Lyn in November 2021. Lisa and Lyn were both amazing, loving and caring individuals, who were devoted to their families and will be greatly missed, and will always be remembered. They were both taken far too soon and had so much more to give.

Sadly, there is nothing we can do to bring those loved ones back, or to reduce the pain of the loss for Dan, his Children and Brendan and both their wider families and friends. What we can do is make that effort to raise money to support Macmillan, so that they can continue with their amazing work to help and support people suffering with Cancer, and hopefully to provide them with the best possible chance to beat the disease.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message and thank you for your support. Rest assured your donation will be making a difference to someone who needs that support.
