Lise & Sean climb Kilimanjaro for SIA

Climbing the tallest mountain in Africa for the most inspirational guy from Africa...
On Thursday 24th May, whilst studying for his first year medical school exams, my younger brother Xander decided to take a break from revision and climb his favourite tree in our local park. Despite having climbed this tree countless times before, he lost his footing and landed on a protruding root shattering his T12 vertebrae.
He has had successful surgery to repair the broken bone and remove the fractured pieces from his spinal cord. Since the fall, however, he has not been able to feel or use his legs.
We are raising funds for a great charity which helps support people like Xander on their road to recovery and beyond after such spinal injuries (link below).

Please show your support by donating to this great cause and following Xander’s journey on his Instagram @six_weeks_in_bed.
