Story
During lockdown I discovered my passion for running/ cycling again. After speaking with people I work with, I discovered that many of my colleagues were also runners/cyclists and some new to running. It soon became apparent that we got a buzz when sharing our progress with each other. We decided set up a group WhatsApp page to share our exercise goals. The support and encouragement from my amazing colleagues is so inspiring and motivating so we decided to take this further and raise some money for a worthwhile cause.
Since working in bubbles, the staff at Broughton Junior School have missed that sense of team spirit they normally enjoy. So, they decided to work together on a project that would help keep them physically active and healthy during the cold, winter months, as well as doing some good for others in the process...and so the Broughton 300 Mile Challenge was born!Staff each week can walk, job, run or cycle and track their distances. Every mile covered goes into a collective pot with the aim of having travelled 300 miles between November and when the school breaks up for Christmas! Please donate to help keep our spirits up and our bodies moving!
