We raise money and awareness to support all who have a bleeding disorder

Story

Alex was diagnosed with haemophilia at 18 months old and has credited the condition for "shaping the course of my entire life". Having spent the last decade as a professional cyclist for GB and World Tour teams, Alex is running a marathon to tick off something he never thought he'd be able to do. Alex suffered joint bleeds into his ankle as a child so learning to run on it has truly been a challenge that he hopes to overcome when crossing the line at the London Marathon.

Little Bleeders was established to help other young haemophiliacs into sport and movement as a way of managing their condition. They financially support families with grants that can pay for things like swimming lessons, dance tuition, soft play sessions, bikes and more. There are certain sports that are 'safer' for haemophiliacs to engage in and LB advocate for better understanding and promotion of these sports.

Little Bleeders is supported by The Haemophilia Society and their fundraising efforts for this marathon will be split 50/50, with The Haemophilia Society using their 50% towards their annual Youth Camps.
