Garden open day fundraiser for charity · 9 September 2018

By giving to the National Garden Scheme, you’re supporting some of the UK's best-loved nursing & health charities. Making a donation is a wonderful way to support our work or remember someone who loved visiting National Garden Scheme gardens or gardening. In 2024, together we donated £3.5 million.

Story

On Sunday 9th September, the renowned Dahlia Fest returns to SW4! For our fourth Open Garden, Jack, Chris and Rosanna hope to welcome more friends and family than ever before. Every penny raised goes to a brilliant range of charities - from MacMillan Cancer Care to Hospice UK - all causes close to our hearts. The day is part of the National Garden Scheme which has donated over £50million to date. The open garden scheme raises money through a small entry donation with cake and plant sales.

Please pop in for a quick hi or a full afternoon, whichever you prefer. Here’s just a taste of what’s to come: floral installation, dahlia cake, gardener’s Q&A, scones, plant sale, carrot cake, prosecco, dahlia bouquets, competitions, lemon drizzle, giant dahlias, banana cake, fabulous ferns, coffee cake…

The garden is small but perfectly formed. It even starred on the BBC’s ’Small Spaces, Big Ideas’ with Monty Don. Its designer, Jack Wallington, is now gardening columnist for the Telegraph on Saturday. He will be on hand to answer all your questions.
In terms of timings, we plan to cut the Dahlia Cake at 2pm. Cut flowers will be sold from 4pm.

If you are unable to attend, we would still so appreciate your donation.

Our open gardens to date have raised £2,000!
