Little Princess Trust Hair Cut · 21 May 2016

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Being part of a women's rugby team, we have a lot of girls with a lot of hair! Our treasurer Katy, who is a children's nurse in training had the brilliant idea of having a group haircut and donating all our hair to a wonderful charity, The Little Princess Trust. However, the idea has spread further than the team, with donations being made in both America and Australia, and anybody is very welcome to join us.

The Little Princess Trust is a charity which creates wigs for children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy and conditions such as alopecia, as well as striving to find kinder treatments for children with cancer. It costs the charity £350 to make each wig, so whilst hair donations are greatly appreciated, monetary donations will make our hair go so much further in improving the life of a sick child.

We are aiming to raise £700 as that's the average cost to make just two wigs. Anything you can give would be amazing, even if it's just the £2 from having one less drink on a night out, or not getting a Starbucks on your way to work - it'll go towards making a huge difference for an incredibly worthy cause.

Thank you!
