Story
Current treatment for childhood brain tumours involves surgery plus a combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Each of these have devastating consequences in terms of side effects. Following the loss of their beloved son Skye, a member of our staff set up the charity Blue Skye Thinking to fund research into innovative treatments. Our target is to raise £25,000 for a second researcher.
On Friday 11th May, the entirety of the Dean Close community including pupils, staff, parents, OD's and friends will wake up and rise together with an early morning yoga practice to achieve this goal.
The session will be led by staff member and yoga teacher Liv Duffin at 7.30am on the school's main playing field, followed by a healthy breakfast outside before continuing the day with positivity and wellbeing.
The Skye is the limit. The more people there, the more we will raise.
Roll out the mat, and join us on the morning of Friday 11th to make a life changing difference.
