Liv’s Little Princess Chemo Cut · 5 December 2020

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Hi

My name is Olivia “Liv” Dickson. I’m 12 years old and as some of you may already know, I was diagnosed with ALL, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on Monday 16th November 2020.

I am currently in hospital having treatment for my ALL and I have been introduced to this amazing charity “Little Princess Trust” who make real hair wigs for kids like me who sometimes lose their own hair because of the chemotherapy they have to get.

Little Princess Trust are currently making me my own wig and I’ve decided that I want to do something positive to help them, so I have decided to cut and donate my own hair to help make one of these amazing wigs for another kid in a similar position to me.

It takes a lot of hair to make a wig and they are also quite expensive, over £500 each, so I am hoping to raise some money for the charity by doing this because they are helping me.

Thanks for taking the time to read my story and if you can help by donate a few £££,s it would be a great help for the charity.

Thank you
Liv x

When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, we'll be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. We won't stop until the research that we fund ends childhood cancer forever. Promise. Please visit us at www.littleprincesses.org.uk to find out how you can help us give young people back what cancer takes away. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers. We receive no formal funding. Please help to raise money for us so that we can help more families.
