On 6^th August a number of friends and I are setting off on a 192 mile hike across England from the west coast (St. Bees) to the east coast (Robin Hood’s Bay).  We will passing through Three National Parks and are hoping to complete the challenge in Nine days.

The reason for the challenge is to raise funds for the Live Foundation, a locally-based charity set up to raise money and awareness for encephalitis, a brain disorder caused by either viral infection or the immune system attacking the brain.

The Charity was set up after a good friend of mine lost his wife, aged only 28, in May 2008.  To date we have raised over £17,000 through various events and fund raising activities which is used for research and development of new treatments.
