Members of the StHelens Later Life and Memory Service  are joining the memory walk on September 4th at Aintree race course to raise funds for this brilliant charity.  As a team we work closely with those sadly affected by cognitive impairment and dementia and their carers/loved ones. We care about the future of dementia care and research and have valued the support provided to our patients by the Alzheimer’s society through literature and community groups. Please help us to raise money for such a worthy cause. 

Dementia is the UKs biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes, and currently there is no cure. We know it is scary facing up to it, but we must confront the biggest health & social care challenge of our time. After Covid-19, dementia was the leading cause of death in the UK in 2020. We owe it to the 900,000 people across the country currently living with dementia, and their families, to spearhead a campaign for change, whilst providing vital day-to-day support now.
