He attended and graduated in 1964 from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He enlisted in the United States Navy in August 1966 and was honorably discharged April 1970.

At an early age Jasper devoted his life to Christ.

Jasper fully enjoyed hanging out with his friends at the Southside YMCA, golfing, fishing, and in addition he loved spending time with his family camping (glamping LOL) and traveling. Jasper was an avid Western and Wheel of Fortune watcher, adiehard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and loved smooth jazz.
