Just like many students, we both enjoy drinking. We cannot imagine giving up Cheesy Tuesdays (*cough* Lish *cough* ) or a classic TP night of messiness (@Livvy) or a cheeky spoons pint with breakfast, for a mere week. Let alone a whole month.

Yet, much to the surprise ( and skepticism) of our families and friends, we are giving up alcohol for a whole month; no Jaegerbombs, no wine or not even a cheeky VK!

And why?

One woman in four will experience domestic violence at some point in her lifetime and two women are killed each week in England and Wales by a current or former partner.

So, we've decided to raise money for Refuge; a charity that supports around 6,000 women & children on any given day in the UK. It supports those experiencing  domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced  marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’  based violence.

So, instead of buying us an overpriced drink in a garishly lit club donate today.
