Story
As some of you know, four years ago we lost a very dear friend, Jonny Mullucks. He spent his last few weeks at the Arthur Rank Hospice in Cambridge. When Jennifer, his lovely wife, asked if I would like to visit him, I was a little apprehensive. Having never visited a hospice before I didn’t really know what to expect, but there was no doom and gloom, no morbid atmosphere, just kind, caring staff supporting families during their darkest of days. Oh, and of course there was Jonny, berating me for not bringing him any booze.
I was lucky enough to see Jonny a number of times before he died and each visit reinforced my view of the Arthur Rank Hospice – what an amazing place, run by amazing people. The Arthur Rank Hospice is challenged with raising over £4,000 a day to continue to provide end of life care for people in and around Cambridge. Please, please, please help me to support them in this challenge by clicking the ‘Donate‘ button and sponsoring me to run the 2015 London Marathon.
