Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year is my 50th trip around the sun and I've set myself a challenge to raise £50k for charity. As mother of 2 children (Harry, 12 and Maddie, 15) I know from personal experience how challenging it is to be a teenager. To face cancer at this challenging time in life is an unbearable concept, for us as parents and them as children. The Teenage Cancer Trust provide specially designed spaces where young people facing cancer can feel at home, meet others their age, welcome family and friends, and get the very best care from dedicated nurses and youth support teams, so they don't have to feel out of place among young children or overwhelmed on an adult ward. The work the Teenage Cancer Trust do is so important.

This is the first event of the year for an outstanding charity and we're getting our skates on for the half marathon roller skating challenge on the 17th March 2023 to raise money for the teenage cancer trust. A half marathon on roller skates is a great exercise in trust for me, as being blind I can't rely on my white cane and will need to rely on a sighted guide. My colleagues at BCMS have stepped up to take on this challenge so I will be relying on them at speed.
