My mum Vanessa died last year after a 5 year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Although she initially did not want much support as she thought others needed it more, St Barnabus gave her a lot of much needed support in her last year.

Alongside some visits at home Mum went to their day centre where she was able to meet others going through the same thing she was & who were able to give her a different kind of support than what we could give.
She also really enjoyed the change of scenary & some of the activities on offer, plus felt happier dad was having a break each week.

Mum passed away in the hospice just 2 days after her 60th birthday.

This was incredibly hard but made a little easier by mum not being in pain & the support & sensitivity given to us by the staff team.

I am hoping to raise as much money as I can for St Barnabus in memory of my mum, in order that they can continue to give this much needed support to as many people that need it as possible.
