Every year one in four people experience a mental health problem.
Mind are working to ensure that no-one has to face a mental health problem alone. Their mission is to provide advice and support to empower people experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
With many family and friends having experienced mental health problems of varying severity - including a friend who took his own life in 2017 - I well understand the importance of having the right support and guidance available when you need it.
To raise money for Mind I'm asking that you sponsor my Extreme Edale Challenge. Starting at 8pm (which seems like a ridiculous time to me), I'll be aiming to walk 75km (47 miles) in less than 24 hours. To put that in perspective that's further than walking from Leeds to Manchester and I'll be doing most of it in the dark.
Admittedly I'm a big fan of a hike but to date the furthest I've walked in a day is 27 miles, so this is still going to be a huge challenge.
Any pennies that you can offer is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your support.
