In less than a month, I’m going to do the most British thing imaginable, that is wear a full wetsuit in the scorching “hot girl” summer. It really is a big feat, after resisting wetsuits for so long. 

I would be delighted if you could sponsor me and help raise money for the British Heart Foundation. 

Oh and I’ll be doing a small 1.4 mile swim because, you know, when in Rome… and it just so happens the Bournemouth Pier to Piet Swim is on that day. 

This is my first time fundraising, probably since school, and I’d like to think I can make more money than my 13-year-old self. (My parents might disagree. Ps: let's prove them wrong). So I’m starting small: I should add that I’ve only just learned the front crawl and much of my training consisted of me watching Youtube videos and flailing my arms on my bed during lockdown. 

As the old saying goes “health is wealth” so why not help others while you’re feeling somewhat fearless after the pandemic.
