At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

We lost our Nanny Joy tragically to Alzheimer's a while ago now and have witnessed close friends having to live with the same battle of this cruel disease. There is much more to be done and we hope to be able to raise a little money with our challenge to contribute to this important charity.

Ross very kindly (!?) booked us in for the 50km Run to Sea Race in October to mark my turning 40 in August. Although I joke that a relaxing holiday may have been more fitting, I'm actually really excited for us to take on this challenge together - not just the race itself but training with busy work schedules and even busier 5 and 2 year olds.

I'am really nervous as I haven't even run a marathon before and my eldest starts school in Sep so fear we will be battling the onslaught of autumn school bugs just when we will be reaching race day so this really is a big challenge for me.

We would be really grateful if you could spare a few pennies. We'll be digging deep to get the miles in and complete this race together.

Thank you xxx

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
