Story

In 2025 my main Relay Fundraising initiative is to #SockItToCancer. With this in mind my idea is to get a number of socks together for people to purchase and then a prize for one lucky person to win. So pull your socks up and lets tackle this disease together...

Thank you to my sock sponsors: Kraken, Bearhug, Five Guys, VX3, Defiance, Saltrock, PAFC, Diadem Pickleball, Weirdfish, Tog24, Macron Plymouth, Sock Academy, Sock Kiss and Fox Pickleball.

Thank you to my prize donors: Jigsaw Health, The UK Pickleball Shop, Gary Hayes (Security Guy), The Pickleball Store, Head UK, Tesco Lee Mill, Get a Grip - On-Court, Notch, PAFC, Flapjackery, Morrisons Plymstock, TopSpin Pro, SDTC, Twidgits and of course Pink Pong and Love Pickle.

Relay For Life celebrates the power of community fundraising to make breakthroughs happen. Across the UK and the globe, teams of friends, families and colleagues fundraise for world-leading research to save and improve lives, then unite as a community at an event to honour everyone affected by cancer and celebrate the progress we’re making.

How does the money you raise power progress?

- £65 could buy special restriction enzymes. These act like molecular scissors to cut long strands of DNA, allowing our scientists to find out more about the genes that can cause cancer.

- £220 could fund our team of nine cancer nurses for one hour. Our nurse helpline offers confidential support and guidance to people affected by cancer.

When you fundraise for Relay For Life, you’re helping fund research and make discoveries. You’re helping bring about a world where everybody can live longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.

Together we are beating cancer.

Thank you for your support.
