Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I simply cannot believe I am running my first (and last!) marathon in 18 days time (at the time of writing)! I left setting up my JustGiving page until completing my 20 mile run injury free (which I did last weekend) because even though I entered back in Dec 2013, I honestly thought I would break down in training. But I haven't! So I will be standing on that start line at the Albert Dock, Liverpool, on 25th May come rain or come shine.
I am doing it because of my two late running buddies, Jenny Wood and Paul Taylor, who no longer have the opportunity to run because they lost their courageous battles with cancer. They both spent their final days in Spring Hill Hospice and so I would like to raise money to ensure that this wonderful place may continue, as it is totally funded by charitable donations.
I know the marathon is going to be gruelling and knowing that you have donated in their memory will make it just that little bit easier. I will think of you at mile 21, and 22 and 22.5 and, 22.75, and so on!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
