31 Minutes of Exercise a Day in May 2023 · 28 February 2023 to 17 June 2023 ·

May is Stroke Awareness Month, so this May, take on Stroke Association's #MoveForStroke challenge. Complete 31 Minutes of Exercise a Day and raise money to support stroke survivors.

Story

On the 15th January 2023, within the space of 2 weeks, my dad suffered his 3rd stroke whilst still in hospital recovering from his 1st and 2nd. Heartbreakingly for us all, this has resulted in weakness of the right side of his body, the ability to communicate (otherwise known as Asphasia) and more recently the loss of his peripheral vision. This has had a devastating effect on us all as a family and we are all working hard helping him to regain some sort or normality.

My dad is the best there is and I hate what he's having to go through 💔

Because of this, Steve, Aoife, Hannah, Abi and myself are taking part in the #MoveForStroke challenge - completing 31 minutes of any form of exercise, each day, to help raise money for the Stroke Association (for those of you that know Steve, walking around the golf course doesn't count 😉).

During our challenge we will spend 15 hours exercising, during which time 180 strokes will cause devastation to families across the UK. Stroke Association's vision is for there to be fewer strokes, and for people affected by stroke to get the help they need to live the best life they can.

Thank you for your support!
