Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When I was eight years old my Dad was rushed to hospital. He was diagnosed with Meningitis Septicemia and was in hospital for nearly a year. Over that time blood was taken from his chest, knees and arms and he had to learn to walk again.
"Meningitus is a terrifying disease. It can strike in hours and affects anyone of any age." So that is why I want to raise money for this charity, because my Dad was lucky, he survived. Many don't.
On 7th June 2011 myself and Antony Butcher raced Amy Scragg and Alice Bowers 3-Legged up Snowdon, in order to raise as much money as we possibly could for Meningitus UK, the MS Society, Epilepsy Research UK and Cancer Research.
We decided it was a tie when we reached the summit- both teams were exhuasted! It was certainly a very challenging day, but along with some amazingly supportive friends (Ruth Wyss and Amy Bruck) we struggled on through bad weather and difficult paths, all the way to the top of Snowdon. Well done you guys! :)
So, please donate as much as you can to Meningitis UK so that they can find a vaccine to prevent this disease and support the families that suffer from it.
Please donate now. Thank you very much. :)
