Story
Hello, and thank you for visiting my JustGiving page and hopefully contributing to mine and boxxe’s fundraising effort for the Prince's Trust.
For those that are not familiar with the Prince's Trust. The Prince's trust is a really empowering charity that exists to help vulnerable young people get their lives on track. It supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed and struggling at school or at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people helped by The Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or have been in trouble with the law.
The Prince's Trust supports by running a range of training programs, providing practical and financial support to build young people's confidence and motivation. Each year they work with about 60,000 young people; with three in four moving on to employment, education, volunteering or training.
"If you are more fortunate than others, build a longer table, not a taller fence" - every pound raised for this charity helps to support those who may have had a less fortunate start to their life journey.
To warrant a few of your charitable pounds being dished out to this fantastic charity, myself and 6 members of the boxxe workforce will be assembling in Wales next weekend (the 11th June) to unite as a team, for the Dell Management Challenge, to shuffle, peddle, canoe and even fire some arrows mid run, whilst navigating across 65km of rugged Welsh landscape. Moderate distance you may say .. well 3 of this power team have to go out and buy trainers this bank holiday weekend..
It is the slowest member of the team whose time counts towards the overall score. So help a 'moderately' competitive person out because the more money boxxe raise's the more time we can potentially carve off the overall team score at the end.
Thank you for your support,
Lizzie
