Story
Having had enough of not having anything constructive to do to channel my frustrations and excess energy, I have decided to follow my instincts and undertake a cycling challenge.
Throughout the month of June I will be cycling the accumulated distance of 260 miles (about 8 miles a day) - otherwise known as the distance from London - Durham in order to provide care for vulnerable children.
Specifically, the vulnerable, seriously ill children supported by Richard House Children's Hospice.
I may also consider cycling a bonus 30 miles, should I need to check my eyesight at any point...
Richard House provides respite, emotional and social support to over 300 families in London. These families often live in the most socially disadvantaged areas of not only London, but the UK - Tower Hamlets, Newham and Hackney. Newham has been affected by Covid-19 more than any other part of England, having recorded more deaths than anywhere else.
Throughout this Crisis Richard House has been providing emergency residential care to children who are most vulnerable to contracting Covid-19 and providing a safe space to receive the care they need and helping to reduce pressure on local NHS services.
Not only is this challenge hilarious, but I'll also be doing it while 5 months pregnant, so you should definitely support.
Thank you for indulging me - much love!
