LIZZY'S 15,000 FOOT SKYDIVE

I am Lizzy and on the 28th June 2018 I will be doing a 15,000 ft skydive in memory of my mum Clare.
When I was 2 years old my mum was diagnosed with a rare disease called Pulmonary Hypertension this affected her heart and lungs and she was given 2 years to live. This meant that she couldn't be as active as she used to be but she never let it stop her from giving me and my sister Anna the best start that she could in life and we have many happy memories baking, playing on the Wii and making each other laugh.
Throughout the years she had many trips to Royal Hallamshire Hospital,Sheffield where she would spend up to 6 weeks at a time as well as a series of doctors appointments, check ups and meetings. It was very difficult for her to only see us once a week, at times, but the excellent work of the doctors, nurses and PH consultants meant that she could be home as soon as possible.
Despite her courage and bravery throughout the course of her illness my mum lost her battle for life on the 2nd March 2011 aged 38 . My mum taught me many things about life however one of the most important was to 'keep smiling and live life to the full', so by doing this skydive and supporting the charity that helped my family a great deal during hard times; I intend to raise as much money as I can to help other families who are going through the same situation.
