Story
I joined the Apraxia Kids 5K Voice Venture because I believe every child deserves a voice. I made a pledge to reach my own personal goal by either running, jogging, or walking in the 5K Voice Venture to raise funds for Apraxia Kids and to spread awareness about childhood apraxia of speech.
Hope you’ll have some fun getting moving for a cause close to our hearts. 💙

The 5K Voice Venture is open to all skill levels of walkers, joggers, and runners!
Participation Is FREE!
Joining the 5K Voice Venture is free, but we ask you to choose an achievable fundraising target (suggested target $50) while spreading awareness to help support the overall mission of Apraxia Kids. Use these Social Media Graphics to help you tell others that you are racing!
Spread Awareness on Your Personal Race Day
Wear blue or an Apraxia Kids shirt, take photos and post on social media, share your personal race fundraising website, or DOWNLOAD & PRINT this PDF to wear in honor of someone special! No matter how you choose, have fun while informing others about childhood apraxia of speech.
Complete Your Time by January 31 - Submit Your Official Results!
When you are prepared to officially complete the 5K Voice Venture, pick any day in January to time yourself while running, jogging, or walking. Choose a location most comfortable to you - a treadmill, in your neighborhood, in a park, on a city sidewalk, or wherever is safe and offers you the best experience. Remember, only participants who submit their official results through this link on or before January 31 will qualify for a chance to win a prize.
Race, Submit, Win!
Your participation in the 5K Voice Venture could result in a prize based on the categories listed below. To qualify, participants must click the link to submit their official race results and collect donations on or before January 31. Prizes include Apraxia Kids gear. Winners will be contacted via email by the following Tuesday (February 2).
1. Top 5 participants to raise funds - online only, through their JustGiving fundraising page
2. Top 5 participants with the fastest race times
3. Middle of the Pack - the three participants with the times in the middle of all submitted results
4. The Oldest Participant
5. The Youngest Participant
