City Hospice is Cardiff's local hospice, providing free consultant led community specialist palliative care to those facing cancer and other life threatening illnesses in Cardiff. We exist to help those suffering from cancer, their families and carers at a most difficult period in their lives.

Story

A mix of Llanishen High School staff and alumni are taking
on the challenge of running the Cardiff Half Marathon this March all in aid of City Hospice. City Hospice plays an influential role in our community caring for many families loved ones and at Llanishen this has proven the case over the years. As staff we want to come together and give something back to a Charity that helps so many.

Taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon is the perfect challenge
and as well at staff members we have overwhelmed by some ex-students forming an alumni group to take part and raise much needed money for the Hospice.

Llanishen High School and its community were extremely successful
in the last fundraising event where we put our ‘Heart & Sole’ into running to Patagonia during lockdown last year. We are now extremely looking forward to putting our ‘Heart & Sole’ into running the Cardiff Half Marathon.

All donations to the fantastic City Hospice Charity are
welcome. Hopefully you will see some of us make the finish line!
