4 Men 4 Bikes 1 Canal 1 Day

On 20 March Si, Rob, Ade & Ade will be cycling the full 127.4 miles (205 km) of the Leeds Liverpool Canal. We'll be leaving Liverpool at 5am, planning to arrive back in Leeds around 8pm. Although we all cycle to some degree, none of us has ever covered this distance 'off-road'.  We all know it's going to hurt at some point; so why are we doing it?

Well, firstly because it's there, but also because we want to help homeless young people here in Bradford by raising essential funds for a local charity, Bradford Nightstop.

Bradford Nightstop provides emergency accommodation for homeless young people, between the ages of 16 and 25, who for whatever reason find themselves with no place to go.  It takes youngsters from the potential dangers of sleeping rough on cold dark streets, providing them with safe warm accommodation in volunteer homes or hostels.

At these safe places, young people have somewhere to sleep, get cleaned up and have something to eat.  They can also be provided with clean clothing.

In addition to providing accommodation, Bradford Nightstop provides essential educational services to make youngsters aware of the dangers of homelessness, encouraging them to never consider sleeping rough.

Just a small sum of can make a real difference

£  7 will provide for safe transportation to a volunteer home,

£15 will provide for 1 night's accommodation,

£40 will provide a starter pack for a volunteer host.

So, please give as much or as little as you can afford.  It will have a real impact on a young persons life.
