On the 23rd of April myself, my mum and 5 other lovely ladies will be flying out to cycle 450 km across Sri Lanka in aid of the organ donation awareness charity ‘Live Life Give Life’.

7 years ago I lost my amazing Grandad John. Throughout his life, my grandad was an advocate for donation and an amazing example of the lives it could benefit. He  proudly carried his donor card everywhere he went, donated his blood multiple times a year and even donated his bone marrow. After his passing, his organ donation saved the lives of three people.

Live Life Give Life’s aim is to raise awareness for organ donation by encouraging people to register as organ donors, whilst also supporting patients awaiting transplants and their families.

I’m nervous but so excited to get started on this challenge of a lifetime and I couldn’t be prouder to represent such an amazing charity and my Grandad John ❤️
