Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Matthew has suffered with kidney problems for almost his entire life. From age of 4 he was told that his kidneys would eventually stop working and by the age of 23 his kidney function was that poor that he had to undergo dialysis on a daily basis. This was for 8 hours every day and had an impact on both his working life and social life.
At this point Matthew was on the kidney transplant list and rather than waiting for a kidney the family decided to be tested to see they were suitable donors.
The eldest brother Dan was a match and in July 2010 the 2 brothers underwent the transplant operation and despite a few teething problems they are both know doing well.
Matthew has never been so healthy and is now feeling better than he ever has. This has led to him starting his own business and also going back to college.
With the this new lust for life he wants to take on a challenge that he could only of dreamt about 3 years ago whilst giving something back to a charity that has supported him through some dark times.
Meet the cyclists
Dan - eldest brother donated Matthew a kidney 3 years ago.
Matthew - Middle brother, lifelong kidney problems and now healthy due to the transplant.
Andrew - Youngest brother - continuous support throughout the operations.
