Story
I would like to ask support for Muscular Dystrophy UK, my eldest son Owen has a rare form of MD, Bethlem myopathy, named after the Dutch doctor who first described it in 1976, is a rare and progressive form of muscular dystrophy. The condition mainly affects skeletal muscles and, to an extent, connective tissues. Less than 100 cases of Bethlem myopathy have been reported in the literature, making it a very rare form of muscular dystrophy. over the years there have been great strides to understand this disease and hopefully in the future there will be a cure. Owen is unable to do this run and for me it is important to raise awareness and show even at my age I can help a little.
