Story

I'm going to #RunYourAge from 1st to 31st Jan 2021 to help Age UK to support older people.  Despite the pandemic, Age UK is able to help older people, wherever they live, every single day - by being at the end of the phone with help and advice, or just being a friendly, listening voice.

My age is 45. I asked you what I should do and, taking into account your ideas and combining votes on twitter and Facebook, I will be:

1) Running 45K every week in Jan (180K in total)

2) Including 45 laps of the Regent's Park inner circle

3) Including 45 repeats of Kenyan Hills at Primrose Hill

4 including moving for 45 mins every day throughout Jan (this can be run/walk or another activity so long as I move)

5) I am also going to try (very very hard) to give up booze for 45 consecutive days starting 1st Jan. I know that I can't possibly finish this bit in Jan,  but I can make a damned fine start of it!

I'm aiming to raise £450,00 and hope that many of you can donate just £4.50, which is the prize of an average pint/drink (London weighting not applied) - and almost enough to help Age UK answer a call from an older person in need.

Thank you, Laurie xx
